Many of the Natural Sciences works are Savage Design Studio Frescoes.
Not just painting, fresco art is an intricate process developed by combining multiple fine art techniques, hand painted in homage to the ancient art of the fresco, to scientific illustration, and to the elegant style of the 'Old World' naturalists.
Each original is created on a wood frame wrapped in canvas, and layered with a special plaster base. The completed paintings are coated, aged, and given a deep protective overcoating, then polished and coated again. All processes are performed by hand.
